1.5 cups rolled Oats
1 cup dates
1/4 cup maple syrup
1/4 cup peanut butter
1 cup of nuts, any you like almonds and cashews are tastey
(Add chocolate chips, currants and chia seeds)
Place the oats on a baking tray and toast in the oven for 15 mins until lightly golden,at 350 degrees (can leave raw if you like).
Put dates in food processor and combine until it forms into a ball and set aside.
Put nuts in food processor and pulse slightly so broken up
Sepretly, mix maple syrup and peanut butter in a saucepan and heat.
Take oats out of oven and put in a large bowl,add nuts and pour maple syrup and peanut butter mixture over oats and nuts and break up dates in to the mixture. Throw in extras such as currents choc chips chia seeds etc and combine well.
Place mixture in cake tin and press down hard and flat.
Place in to freezer for 20 mins. Cut in to bars. Then eat!!
