Orange Almond Date Balls

Date balls are a great go to snack that is healthy and tasty and hits that sweet spot when your craving junk food.



1 cup of dates

1 cup of whole almonds

2 tsp vanilla essence

zest of half an orange

juice from about half an orange

1/4 tsp cinnamon

1/4 tsp all spice


Blend the one cup of dates in a food processor until they all stick together put aside and then blend the one cup of whole almonds, then place the date mixture back into the blender along with the almonds, vanilla, orange zest, juice, cinnamon and all spice. Blend until the mixture is sticky enough to blend into balls


Grab a large plate and pour out coconut flakes and roll the balls in the flakes

Date balls are fun to experiment with you can add all different ingredients eg peanut butter, almond butter, raisins, coco powder, lemon, ginger etc

Dates are a good source of fiber, potassium and copper
