It’s been a while since our last blog post! Apologies!
Are you looking for a high protein, high fiber and filling breakfast!?
We are trying to get more protein into our diet to help build muscle and tone up so we have got into making protein overnight oats. In the past we have tried making overnight oats and we just didn’t like them so much, I think perhaps we were just not making them right… Now I think we have perfected it! We have been using a scoop of protein powder in each portion. Sometimes we use Vega vanilla 20g /scoop and have started using Body Energy Clubs chocolate protein powder 30g protein/scoop for that extra 10g. Vega also does a sport protein with 30g per scoop but we have never tried Body Energy Club before so we wanted to try something new! and its great!
1 scoop vega vanilla protein powder
1 banana mashed
1 cup almond milk
1 tablespoon unsweetened shredded coconut
1/2 cup oats
This is 475 calories and 32g protein
1 scoop body energy club clean vegan protein powder
1 teaspoon coco powder
1/2 cup oats
1 cup unsweetened almond milk
Add strawberries and raspberries on top
41.3g protein 435 calories
Mix the ingredients together in a bowl, cover with cling film and leave over night.
In the morning we add on different types of fruit, stewed apples with cinnamon is great too, hemp heats, cocoa nibs…
You could get different flavour protein powders to switch up the flavours too.
It’s such an easy way to get a high protein breakfast in. Its also something you can put in to any kind of container and take with you on the go.
