Almond crackers anti-candida and vegan

When we went from being vegetarian to vegan it meant we had to do some research and figure out what we can and cannot eat we soon discovered different foods that we had never tried before and  it was fun making new dishes. Being on our anti candida cleanse has made us think outside the box once again. NO SUGAR!! surely that’s impossible?? a life with no sugar surely is not worth living….

Well you know what, it hasn’t been all that hard. You just have to do a little research and it’s fun creating new dishes. We will post about them on our blog from cauliflower pizza to these almond crackers to cinnamon cookies! Hopefully these recipes will help someone else who is trying to cut down on sugar!

Ingredients:

2 cups of almond flour

2 flax eggs- 2 tablespoons flax meal to 5 tbsp water

1/2 tsp salt

1/2 tsp black pepper

3 tbsp of water

dried rosemary

Method:

To make the almond flour we just pulsed 2 cups of almonds in the food processor to form a flour. Then add the two flax eggs salt and pepper and add water as needed. This will form a dough to be laid on a piece of parchment with an additional piece of parchment on top and roll out into whatever shape you want until about 1/16 thick.

score so it’s easier to cut into pieces. Then sprinkle on Himalayan sea salt and plenty of dried oregano or rosemary to flavour.  Bake in the oven at 350F for 12-14 minutes
